Classification Lesson Plan
We always like to hear how teachers are using Flocabulary to best meet the needs of their students. So when Tammy Seneca of West Baton Rouge Parish Schools sent us this awesome lesson to teach scientific classification, we couldn’t wait to share it with our community. This lesson teaches students to classify life by Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus and Species.

This activity was so much fun! My 7th grade students got to try this lesson out thanks to Dr. Seneca. This was the one activity they couldn’t stop talking about it. They loved getting to listen to the rap and then figuring out the answers to the chart. They LOVED it!!! I highly recommend this lesson for any classroom that’s teaching this topic. You and the students will have a blast!
