At Flocabulary, we’re always looking for exciting ways to boost student engagement. After hearing from educators (and a vision to try something new), we’re excited to share an initial roll-out of karaoke-style Flocabulary videos! Now, your students can test their hip-hop chops with the Flocab pros by rapping along to actual Flocabulary videos. We’ve created karaoke-style videos for four popular Flocabulary units for you to try out with your students. Watch them below:
Every Friday morning, teachers find a shiny new Week in Rap or Week in Rap Junior announcement sitting in their inbox. Our weekly current events units are a favorite among Flocabulary users, and we hear (and see!) lots of excitement from teachers and students every week.
This time next week, members of the Flocabulary team will be gearing up for what will surely be an awesome FETC 2017. Are you heading to Orlando, too? Read on to find out what's on tap at Booth 2317—our home base for FETC.
Last week Flocabulary was thrilled to participate in NY EdTech Week, an education innovation festival. The day was filled with all sorts of panel discussions and workshops from ed tech entrepreneurs, including remarks from NYU professor David Kirkland and a memorable story from Flocabulary CEO Alex Rappaport. Of course, we brought some fun to the stage, too, with a live performance of Earth Layers & Plate Tectonics from Ike Ramos. (You might remember Ike from our UN performance in September, too.) Catch all the highlights from this exciting day in our recap vid below!
It's been a busy year here at Flocab HQ. From rap battles at ISTE to launching our Flocabulary MC Educator community program, we've strived to bring you top-notch educational hip-hop, practical instructional tools and features, and of course a whole lotta fun. Y'all know that we're constantly adding new units to Flocabulary's library, with good stuff like videos, Read & Respond passages, Pause & Play discussion prompts and Lyric Lab writing activities.
